Wim Smits senior bought a few nice rolls of fabric in Twente and took them to a sewing workshop in Friesland and went to the shopkeepers with his first made trade. The bus made way for a moving showroom where customers could immediately choose their articles. In the nineties, Wim Smits junior took over the wheel. The growing company needed reinforcement in the field of administration and customer contact and Marit came into the picture. The match was not only business but later also personal. By cooperating with responsible manufacturers, Jollein® wants to prevent our products from being made under poor conditions, such as child labour.
